What we teach

Classes

The Ayita Dance Academy opened for business in May 2014 and since then we have grown to have a number of lovely classes of pupils learning great routines to new dance styles and even taking part in and passing exams with the International Dance Teachers Associations (I.D.T.A).
The classes and tuition we offer is as follows:

Rosettes 4-6 years Freestyle Dance:
The freestyle rosettes classes have proven to be really popular since we opened in May. This is an opportunity for your child to learn fun and simple routines to their favourite songs including ones from Disney, Films and what's popular in the charts.
Every 6 months the children take part in exams with the IDTA and are awarded a bannerette and a new rosette to pin on it each time.
The class is a fantastic way for children to develop their listening, social and coordination skills. It's also a fantastic way to build confidence and eable your child to have the opportunity to thrive in a non academic enviroment.?
It is a 30 minute class every wednesday after school and is just ?3 per week.

7-11years Latin American and Freestyle
This is an hour long class each wednesday after school which combines 30 minutes of Latin American tuition and 30 minutes of Freestyle dance.
The Latin American has proven to be really popular with pupils learning a variety of dance styles including Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive to name just a few.
Both boys and girls love this class.
The second half is the Freestyle dance class which sees children learning great routines to popular chart music.

11-18 years Latin American and Freestyle
This is an hour long class each wednesday after school which combines 30 minutes of Latin American tuition and 30 minutes of Freestyle dance.
The Latin American has proven to be really popular with pupils learning a variety of dance styles including Cha Cha Cha, Rumba, Jive to name just a few.
The second half is the Freestyle dance class which sees children learning great routines to popular chart music.

 

Adult Latin American and Salsa
Every wednesday we run both Beginners and Intermediate classes teaching all of the Latin American and Salsa dances.
Classes are tailored to your needs and abilities and are a grat way for you to have fun, learn dance styles that you've always wanted to try (We've all sat watching strictly wishing we could take part i'm sure) and keep fit without even realising it!
If you've ever wanted to learn ChaChaCha, Rumba, Jive, Samba, Paso Doble, Salsa and Merengue then this is the class for you!
No partner is needed for this class although please do bring your partner or friends along to enjoy!

Adult Latin American and Salsa Couples Specials - MONTHLY
Our couples specials classes have proven to be really popular. At the end of the month we run a couples night where you and your partner or friend can come along and learn and short and fun routine to one of our popular dances.
For example, in January, we will be running a Cha Cha Cha special, in February we will run a Rumba special. A list of these nights can be find on the adult classes time table.
This special night is perfect for those who would love to be able to learn a dance routines with their partner but cannot commit on a weekly basis for both of you to attend the Adult Latin and Salsa lessons.
Classes last an hour and cost ?6.
Booking is essential due to popularity.
