Ayita Dance Academy

About Hayley

Dancing has been a huge part of my life since I was just 4 years old. I started learning Ballet and Tap however, it was when I was 6 that my true love for dancing began. I joined a Latin American and Freestyle dance company where I was able to take exams and be awarded with certificates and medals for Latin (both Male and Female steps), Freestyle, Rock N Roll, Pairs and Team Dances. I continued to attend, and later teach each and every week until I was 18 and left for university.

I took my Latin American Student Teacher exam with the IDTA in 2006 and later trained to be a Salsa instructor after teaching classes in North London, gaining my diploma in 2007. In 2014 I gained my Associate Latin American teaching qualification.

I have been fortunate enough to teach a wide variety of ages and styles and am so proud to have launched my own academy in Braintree.

We launched our classes in May 2014 and have had a wonderful first 6 months where we have seen a fantastic level of dancing. From 4 years of age through to adults, pupils have enjoyed their classes and have learnt a number of dance styles. Our 4 - 18 year olds took part in examinations in November with the IDTA and all passed with flying colours. In December we had the medal and certificate presentations where parents got to watch and celebrate their child's achievements.

In January we are adding in a variety of classes to our timetable including Little Dots for 2-4 yrs, Street Dance and Team Formation.
I look forward to seeing you or your children in classes in the near future!

Love Hayley x
